COLLECTION & SORTING
Documentation & Verification
The plastic collections and sorting are certified, trackable and documented by the third-party company, DNV.
ReSea Project is certified, as one of just two companies worldwide, to DNV’s Chain of Custody Standard for plastic recovered from the hydrosphere. This certification provides the highest level of traceability and assurance of the plastic recovered from oceans and rivers from the independent third party DNV.

TRACEABILITY OF THE TOTAL COLLECTION & SORTING PROCESS
THE AMOUNT OF PLASTIC RECOVERED
FAIR COMPENSATION TO THE CLEANUP TEAMS
ReSea Project is sorting the plastic waste into five main categories
The sorting allows the collected plastic to be converted into new and usable raw materials.
QUALITY & TESTING
Raw material testing
In Pack Tech we test the raw material against the following:
OWP is tested according to SVHC
California proposition 65
OWP is tested according to CalProp 65
Intertek is performing the testing as a leading quality assurance provider
1. Plastic Collection
A batch number is generated to track who, when and where has collected the plastic.
4. Packaging Production
The new raw material is included. Batch number is applied production report.
2. Plastic Sorting
New batch numbers are generated according to categories (e.g. HDPE and PP).
5. Inspection of Packaging
The finished packaging is inspected. Batch number in production report is checked.
3. Sent to Pelleting
A new batch number is given based on a mix to obtain a total amount of raw material
6. OWP+ Batch Number
For every OWP+ order, we assign a batch number that can be traced to the plastic collection
The converted raw material
In Pack Tech we are able to track through our batch number. This means that everything is controlled through a batch number through the entire process from collection and until finished packaging.
What is OWP?
The concept of Ocean Waste Plastic is based on a belief that we can encourage consumers to be the main part in removing plastic waste from the world’s oceans and rivers.
There is no planet B. We must protect the environment and it is our responsibility to help build a better future for the generations to come.
